  How will Virginia Tech's coursework and faculty build your expertise?

Virginia Tech’s Master of Information Technology program courses are taught by highly respected faculty, renowned for their expertise in the field. Coursework is continuously updated, reflecting cutting-edge trends within the industry.

Delivery: The VTMIT India program will be conducted at the S P Jain Insitiute of Management Research Campus in Mumbai, India. Students learn and interact through documents, lectures, textbooks, and various online communication tools. Courses have regular schedules and students must be prepared for discussions and to meet scheduled deadlines for projects, exams and assignments.

Schedule: VTMIT India students complete ten courses in 18 months. Students start the program by taking the Foundations Course and then study advanced courses in software development, business information systems and decision support systems.

Credit Requirements: Students complete 30 credit hours to obtain the Master's Degree (ten courses): all four foundation courses (3 cr each) and six module courses (3 cr each). The six module courses consist of 2 courses from each of the following modules - Software development, Business Infomation Systems and Decision Support Systems.
