PROGRAM
Study Abroad in France: The European
Approach to Management is a unique opportunity
for you to study abroad. You will study Business and French for 28 days (June 16 - July 11, 2008)
in Evry, a suburb of Paris. The program consists
of an overview of the French and European perspectives on
Management as well as introductory or advanced French classes.
You do not need to have studied French to participate in this
program.
The program takes place at the Institut National des Telecommunications (INT). The INT is a prestigious business and engineering school
with an information technology and telecommunications focus.
INSTRUCTORS
Richard
Wokutch is Pamplin Professor and Head of the Department of
Management at Virginia Tech. He was a Fulbright Research Professor
in both Japan and Germany. He is the author of the book Worker
Protection Japanese Style: Occupational Safety and
Health in the Auto Industry and is a contributing editor
to the book Rising Above Sweatshops. He
has also written numerous articles on international business
ethics. In addition to Professor Wokutch who will be the supervising
professor, individual classes will be taught (in English)
by faculty members from INT.
